Responsible business

At Gpi, we believe in conducting business in a way that not only ensures profitability and growth, but also contributes positively to society and minimises our environmental impact. To achieve this, Gpi strives to make positive change in a variety of ways. 

Durable material

Our companies design and manufacture stainless-steel products. Stainless steel is a sustainable choice because of its exceptional durability, recyclability, and low environmental impact throughout its lifecycle. Its corrosion-resistant properties make it resistant to harsh environments and perfect for long-term use, resulting in a longer life and reduced need for replacement.

In addition, when designing our tanks and process plants, Gpi always strives to reduce cleaning time (saving water, energy, and chemicals) by, for example, using stainless-steel duplex as a sustainable alternative to carbon steel, reducing the amount of stainless steel through smart designs and, if desired, using stainless steel that consists of up to 95% recycled materials, such as Outokumpu Circle Green®.

Electric driving

At Gpi, we have taken a step toward more sustainable mobility by adopting electric company vehicles. These vehicles reduce our environmental impact by eliminating harmful emissions and lower our reliance on fossil fuels. In addition, all new company cars are either hybrid or fully electric, which aligns with our commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility.

Gpi Group's ISO certifications and corporate governance and compliance

We operate with integrity and responsibility, maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance and compliance. Gpi Group is group-wide certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Collectively, these certifications confirm Gpi’s compliance with international quality, environmental, and safety standards, reinforcing its reputation as a responsible and reliable organisation.

Involved in community initiatives

We actively engage with the communities in which we operate, supporting local initiatives and contributing to community development projects.

One of these projects is our long-standing partnership with JINC. JINC strives for a society where a child’s background does not determine what their future will be; a society where every child has a fair chance. To achieve that goal, Gpi and JINC organise various initiatives and events, such as “Boss for a Day” and different workshops where children have the opportunity to learn.

Gpi also participates in various sporting events, such as running, volleyball, and indoor soccer competitions to promote employee health and increase team spirit.

We believe in empowering individuals through education and skill development. We are committed to fostering long-term employment by continuously investing in our employees to improve their skills and abilities. We also support vocational training and educational initiatives, such as internships and company visits. These equip individuals with the skills they need to succeed in their careers and to contribute meaningfully to society.

Moreover, at Gpi, we are focused on fostering long-term employment by continuously investing in our employees.

Employee benefits​

Gpi takes care of its staff by actively contributing to a healthy lifestyle for all employees. We provide fresh fruit and dairy products in the breakroom, we have our own fitness room, we provide a (voluntary!) preventive medical examination, we encourage our employees to come to work by bicycle through a bicycle plan. Of course, we also offer plenty of opportunities for relaxation with colleagues during and outside working hours by playing a game of darts or billiards together, or taking part in sporting events, such as running competitions, football and volleyball tournaments, or cycling events.

In addition, every employee has their own coffee mug and water bottle, and we provide personalised protective equipment, such as safety shoes and bespoke hearing protection. This results in less waste and optimal safety.
